Not right time to make San Tan Valley a city

Letter to the Editor,Insalaco

Dear Editor:

An open letter to the Florence Town Council:

On behalf of the city of Apache Junction, I would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to Florence Mayor Vicki Kilvinger, Vice Mayor Thomas Smith and Council members Barbara Brown, Arnold J. Raasch, William Hawkins, Vallarie Woolridge and Thomas Celaya for your courageous votes on Resolution No. 1257-10 regarding the incorporation of the San Tan Valley area. The council acted as a unified body and displayed real grit in your decision. These types of decisions are very difficult for any town or city council to make, but I believe that a council’s first obligation is to their own residents.
